Hands-on watershed science
Dr. Guilinger teaches a series of scaffolded, hands-on courses in earth system science, geomorphology, and hydrology as part of the Environmental Science, Technology, and Policy B.S. Watershed Systems Concentration. These courses feature small class sizes (<24) and course-based research projects emphasizing intensive field experiences, surveying (e.g., autolevel, RTK-GPS, total station), geospatial technologies (e.g., lidar, drone photogrammetry), quantitative skills (Excel and R), and written and oral communication of applied science. This high-impact curriculum is geared towards building skills relevant to jobs in environmental consulting, watershed management, water resources, surveying, land management, graduate school, and more...

Additionally, Dr. Guilinger teaches and advises masters students through the Environmental Science M.S., and is at this time accepting students through the PSM track (learn more here). Reach out if interested in a PSM! He regularly co-teaches ENVS 560, a project-based graduate-level watershed science course.
